Be seen this year at the Albany Timber Carnival Albany Timber Carnival Association Sponsorship 2009 You can be involved in this True Community Event. Past and Future Since 1941 the Albany Timber Carnival has been a worldwide known event. Timber contestants have come from as far as New Zealand and Australia to participate in this Albany, Oregon event. National TV coverage on CBS Sports and ESPN further launched the event into national recognition. In 2007, the Albany Timber Carnival returned as a True Community Event with outstanding attendance for the re-introductory year. In 2008, over the course of two days (July 4th & 5th) the Albany Timber Carnival took off with a bang with “A Blast from the Past”. Over 15,000 people came over the weekend to listen to live bands and to play at the family fun zone. As well as craft vendors and food vendors. Planned events for 2009 can be seen in the Events Section. How can your business be part of this True Community Event? You now have an opportunity to take part in the campaign for 2009. Three days of the Timber Carnival provides more coverage and new sponsorships. The new packages include; web banners, full radio spots, sponsorship of specific events, full color banners & vendor spaces. We are also partnering with the Oregon chapter of Operation Homefront and will be promoting this great cause. This could give your company national exposure opportunities. Our Goal is to provide a Fun Family Event that any family can afford to attend, there will be no admission fees to the park or planned events, but to accomplish this, we are needing the support and sponsorships of our Local Businesses like yours to make this a great event that we can continue to bring back year after year. We are proud to announce that the Albany Timber Carnival Association has partnered with the Oregon Chapter of Operation Homefront. Their organization provides emergency assistance and morale to our troops, to the families they leave behind, and to wounded warriors when they return home. Since it began, following the tragic events of September 11, 2001, Operation Homefront has provided critical assistance to more than 45,000 Military families. We are proud of this partnership and we will be honoring these soldiers and their families at this year’s event and will be inviting them to participate with us.
